Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

These Terms govern your use of the website reteike.com, the web app app.reteike.com and the Reteike desktop app (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

2. The Service

Reteike uses artificial intelligence to transcribe, caption, cut and re-edit videos of people talking to the camera, and offers an editor (the Studio) for you to adjust the result. The Service is in beta: features, limits (such as maximum video length) and prices may change, and there may be bugs or outages.

3. Your account

• You must be 18 or older to use the Service.
• You sign in with your email (code or link) or with Google. Keep access to your email secure: whoever gets into it can get into your account.
• You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us at talk@reteike.com if you suspect misuse.

4. Tokens, plans and payment

• AI actions spend tokens. The app shows how many tokens an action costs before you confirm. Some actions, such as transcribing, adjusting in the Studio and downloading, cost no tokens.
• Your account may get welcome tokens on first sign-in. Videos made without a payment carry the Reteike watermark.
• Monthly plans renew your token allowance each cycle; unused plan tokens don’t carry over. Top-ups are one-time payments and their tokens never expire.
• Prices are on the pricing section and in the app. Payments are processed by Stripe (card and, for top-ups, Pix).
• Plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel from your account at any time; your plan stays active until the end of the cycle already paid.
• If a generation fails, the tokens it spent go back to your account.
• Right of withdrawal: you can cancel a purchase within 7 days, as provided by Brazil’s Consumer Protection Code (art. 49). Write to talk@reteike.com; we refund the amount for that purchase’s unused tokens.
• Tokens have no cash value outside the Service, can’t be transferred and are lost if the account is terminated for breaching these Terms.

5. Your content

• Your content is yours. Your videos, audio, text, logos and the edited results remain yours (or belong to whoever holds the rights).
• To provide the Service, you give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, process, transcribe, edit and generate versions of your content, including through the AI providers listed in the Privacy Policy. This license covers only doing what you ask and ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies the law requires us to keep.
• We don’t use your content for advertising and we don’t publish it without your permission.
• You confirm you hold the rights to what you upload, including the consent of everyone who appears or speaks in the video, and to any third-party music, brands and images.

6. What’s not allowed

You may not use the Service to:

• create or edit content that is illegal, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually exploitative, or that involves minors inappropriately;
• use another person’s face or voice without their permission, or impersonate anyone;
• deceive people with manipulated content presented as real, such as fraud, scams or disinformation;
• infringe third parties’ copyright, trademarks or privacy;
• try to break into, overload, copy or reverse engineer the Service, bypass limits or billing, or resell access without permission.

We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

7. AI results

AI can make mistakes: a transcript may get a word wrong, a cut may not land where you wanted. Check the result before you publish; you are responsible for what you publish. Reteike doesn’t guarantee reach, views or sales.

8. Reteike’s property

The software, the Reteike brand, the design and the editing models belong to Reteike. These Terms give you no rights to them beyond using the Service.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Service running, but it may be unavailable due to maintenance, failures or providers. We may change, suspend or discontinue features; if we shut down the Service, we will give reasonable notice and refund unused top-up tokens.

10. Liability

The Service is provided “as is”, in beta. To the extent permitted by law, Reteike is not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or data loss caused by using the Service, and Reteike’s total liability is limited to what you paid in the 12 months before the event. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection law.

11. Termination

You can stop using the Service and ask us to delete your account at any time at talk@reteike.com. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the version in force; if a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the new version.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil. Disputes will be settled in the courts of the consumer’s place of residence.
